The hard part is the texture blend
Closing the hole is only part of a popcorn ceiling repair. The new area has to be feathered into the surrounding ceiling and the texture has to be blended so the repair does not read as a smooth square. The patched area was finished, textured and painted to match the existing ceiling.

2. BlendFinish the edges and match the surrounding popcorn texture.
3. PaintPrime and coat the repaired ceiling area.
